While travelling to Negril, the bus driver was singing „Legalize it, don’t criticize it” and yes, Marihuana is omnipresent. Tourists can buy it everywhere and they do it. 

Jamaicans sell diffrent types of soft drugs and the beach is the main place to buy  anything you want. 

Marihuana to standard na Jamajce. Tu pali każdy, a zioło kupić można po prostu wszędzie. Co  dwieście – trzysta metrów ktoś oferuje towar rożnego typu i gdy odpowiadamy, że nie palimy patrzą na nas jak na „OBCYCH”. W powietrzu unosi się mocny zapach zioła, który pierwszego dnia bardzo nas mdlił, obecnie tylko lekko przeszkadza.

Warm and crystal clear water, few people and silence. That is Negril in June.

The hotel staff takes care of the beach every day, that is why it is spotlessly clean. No seaweed, no trash.

Our bus trip from Montego Bay to Negril, Jamaica was longer than the flight from Miami to Montego but it was pleasant as the road goes along the picuresque coast.

We bought the transfer at Expedia website and it worked well. 

There was Expedia counter at the aiport which assists tourists and directs them to the right bus.

On the bus there were about 20 people: Marcin, me and Americans.

Chociaż droga z Montego Bay do Negril zajęła nam więcej czasu niż lot z Miami na Jamajkę, trasa była bardzo przyjemna, gdyż prowadziła wzdłuż wybrzeża. 

Transfer wykupiliśmy na stronie Expedii i okazał się strzałem w 10-tkę.

Po wylądowaniu udaliśmy się do biura Expedii mieszczącego się na lotnisku, którego pracownicy pokierowali nas do odpowiedniego dla nas autobusu. 

Do Negril jechało nas około 20-tu. My i sami Amerykanie. 

Miami Airport equals lots of people, precise security control, queues and excirement. 
We used the so called self-check-in kiosk, dropped off our baggage at the drop off counter and took off on time.
The flight which was supposed to last 1 hour 50 minutes, lasted only 90 minutes.
Unaware of what to expect in Jamaica we landed in dumny Montego Bay.
The queue to the passport control was incredibly long but the small talk with the custom officer was pleasant. 

Lotnisko w Miami to tłumy ludzi, szczegółowe kontrole bezpieczeństwa, kolejki i podekscytowanie. 

Odprawiliśmy się sami, w specjalnym kiosku, nadaliśmy bagaże i o czasie wystartowaliśmy do Montego Bay na Jamajce. 
Lot trwał tylko 90 minut zamiast zaplanowanej godziny i piędziesięciu minut. 

Po wylądowaniu czekało nas długie stanie w kolejce do kontroli paszportowej i stosunkowo miła rozmowa z urzędnikiem.

We adore Asian food and we found a perfect restaurant here in Doral, (West Miami) called Umami Japanese Restaurant (1400 NV87th Avenue).

The food and the service are excellent. Prices are moderate, helpings are huge and the lemonade which they make is just out of this world.

Below is the Umami interior.

Our meal: orange chicken with rice and fried rice with chicken.

Our beverages:  orange and passion fruit lemonade with some spicy herbs.

Uwielbiamy kuchnię azjatycką i gdy tylko nadarza się okazja wybieramy  restaurację chińską lub tajską. Tym  razem w Doral, (zachodnie Miami) trafiliśmy do wspaniałej, japońskiej restauracji o nazwie Umami.

Jedzenie było wyśmienite, porcje olbrzymie, a lemoniada genialna. 

We spent our first night in Doral Inn & Suits, west Miami.

The place is relatively cheap, it is clean and perfect for families with kids.

The rooms are spacious though the furniture is slightly worn-out.

What we really appreciated was breakfast. It was tasty, there were toasts, jam, honey, cereals, cupcakes, fruits, joghurt, scrambled eggs, sausages, tea, coffee, juice, etc.

Doral Inn and Suits w Miami West okazał się dobrym wyborem. 

Miejsce jest zadbane, schludne i tanie. Co więcej, w cenie pokoju / apartamentu wliczone jest dobre śniadanie. 

Można zjeść ciepłe tosty, jajecznię, kiełbaski, płatki, owsiankę, owoce, jogurt i ciasteczka.

Airport check-in in Katowice was smooth. We were very lucky as we got the emergency exit seats both to Frankfurt and Miami. The seats  guarantee lots of leg room and comfort.

Again, to the USA, we flew our favourite Airbus A380.

This time, we had seats on the upper deck of the plane, initially designed exclusively to Business Class.

The upper deck has some advantages. Firstly, you do not hear the engines as you sit at the tail of the plane, what is more,  there aren’t many seats  designated for the Economy Class so the service is excellent. 

All in all, the flight from Frankfurt to Miami was great. During the flight I watched two boring films, namely: Manchester by the Sea (I slept through the half of it) and Moonlight (that was a better choice). Still, I don’t recommend any of them. 

Podczas odprawy w Katowicach mieliśmy sporo szczęścia ponieważ zarówno do Frankurtu jak i do Miami przydzielono nam komfortowe miejsca przy wyjściu ewakuacyjnym.

Do Miami lecieliśmy naszym ulubionym Airbusem A380. Tym razem siedzieliśmy na górnym pokładzie, który w przeszłości w całości należał do Klasy Business. Obecnie około 40 miejsc to Klasa Ekonomiczna. 

Górny pokład ma wiele zalet. Jest bardzo cicho, nie słychać silników gdyż siedzi się w ogonie samolotu, ponadto jest mało pasażerów więc obsługa jest wspaniała. 

Lufthansa oferuje swoim pasażerom dostęp do filmów, audiobooków, gier i muzyki. Podczas lotu obejrzałam dwa filmy: Manchester by the Sea (nuda) i Moonlight (nudny, ale do przejścia).

Online check-in for Lufthansa flights is impossible. My visa is in the old passport and the system does not let me in.

Well, I will have to check-in at the airport. 

Wolniej niż zwykle, check-in online jest niemożliwy. Moja wiza jest w starym paszporcie i system nie pozwala mi się odprawić. 

Cóż, karty pokładowe załatwimy jutro rano na lotnisku w Pyrzowicach.
