Brunch

Between 8:30 am and 1 pm it is possible to have brunch.
One can have it in Platinum Dining on the third deck.
First, you wait to be seated then you get a menu and order the food you wish to eat.
It is definitely more elegant option than breakfast on Lido deck, but me and Marcin have never tried it.

Leaving Miami

When you leave Miami, you have a kind of escort by the police boat. All smaller ships and boats must wait and give the Carnival priority.
Everybody is excited, there is music and a lot of waving good bye from the passangers waiting on other ships to set sail.

The views when leaving the port are spectacular. You see Miami downtown, Miami beach and a motorway which is almost floating on the water.

Bye, bye Bahamas

Mother nature can be cruel and unpredictable. A tropical storm made some changes to our plans. We had to change the route and skip the Bahamas. I was so depressed but that’s life, besides, safety is the most important.

Elegant night

During cruises which last for 7-8 days, threre are two special nights called elegant nights. One must put on elegant clothes in order to eat in a restaurant. T-shirts, jeans and flip-flops are not accepted.

Podczas rejsow 7-8 dniowych organizowane sa tzw Elegant Nights. Trzeba wowcza zalozyc cos lepszego niz T-shirt i japonki jesli chce sie zjesc w restauracji.

Na statku najlepiej ubrane sa osoby czarnoskore. Szczegolnie czarnoskore Panie sa bardzo zadbane i nosza sie ekstrawagancko. Najgorzej ubieraja sie Japonczycy, ktorzy uwielbiaja dresy i kurtki przeciwdeszczowe. Z BIALAMI Amerykananami jest roznie. Ci z nadwaga nie wygladaja za dobrze, a cala reszta raczej chodzi w spodenkach i T-shirtach lub strojach .

No respect for coins.

It is unbelivable for me that the Americans have no respect for coins and change. I have seen two situations when they dropped some coins on the ground and they did not bother to pick them up.
One will never see anything like that in Poland.

Who are we crusing with?

There are different nations on board the ship. There are mainly Americans, people of Mexican or Spanish origin, Germans, a few (lost) Japanese people and some Poles.

Americans are very often overweight, the Japanease seem lost and they eat like little birds 🙂 Once we saw a Japanese woman putting on her plate a little part of coliflower and that was her supper.

Sport activities on Carnival Glory

There are many options to do some sport , be active and burn some calories. There is a running track at the top of the ship, basktaball and valleyball court, a mini golf course, table tennis, three pools and a well-equipped gym.

We are quite unlucky with the gym because it is always crowded when we want to practice.

In a gym it is possible to have a training with your personal instructor or take part in a joga or cycling session.

The best time to use a gym is in the early morning (between 6am and 8am) as well as in the evening, after 8 pm.

Trivia

While crusing, one can take part in different competitions or quizes, for example so called TRIVIA.
We had a chance to observe and listen to the questions in 50/50 trivia and we really want to try to take part in it next time.

Shopping on board sucks!

Well before my cruise I thought that the cruise ships offer a lot of opportunities to do shopping and kill the time.
Well, I was wrong. There are just a few shops on deck five which offer souvenirs, perfumes, alcohol, clothes, cigarettes and sweets but they are not special, believe me.
When it comes to prices, I think they are moderate. Those who like alcohol will be very satisfied as alcohol is cheap, however, perfumes seem to be expensive.
